Fuel prices have increased once again in the state, with the new rates coming into effect from Friday. According to the revised pricing, petrol now costs Rs 100.56 per litre, while diesel is priced at Rs 89.46 per litre.
Officials reported that petrol prices have risen by Rs 3.04 per litre, while diesel has become costlier by Rs 2.51 per litre in a single revision. The increase is believed to be linked to the rising prices of crude oil in the international market. The price hike has reportedly been implemented across the country.
Following the announcement, petrol pumps witnessed heavy rushes since morning, with long queues of vehicles seen at several locations as people hurried to refuel. Many consumers expressed concern that the rise in fuel prices could further impact the cost of essential commodities in the coming days.
