Government Railway Police (GRP) seized 8 kg of ganja during a raid at Agartala Railway Station on Sunday night and arrested two women drug peddlers from Bihar.
According to a GRP officer, the contraband was recovered during a routine check at the station.
The two accused, identified as Sushma Kumari (26) and Soma Kumari (20), both residents of Nalanda district in Bihar, were allegedly carrying the consignment from Agartala to Bihar.
Police have registered a case under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act, and further investigation is underway.
