A high-level delegation led by Director of Health Services Dr. Debashree Debbarma conducted an on-site inspection of Khowai District Hospital and Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital yesterday.

During the visit, the officials thoroughly reviewed various departments of both hospitals and interacted directly with patients to assess the quality of healthcare services being provided.

The team inspected the emergency department, patient registration unit, male and female wards, stores, and the quality of food supplied to patients. They also visited the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Clinic and the operation theatre at Khowai District Hospital, where the Health Director emphasized the importance of proper infrastructural maintenance.

The delegation expressed satisfaction over the commencement of regular and emergency caesarean sections, along with ortho and general OT services at the district hospital. They reviewed the overall functioning of both outpatient and inpatient services. Instructions were given to ensure routine blood sugar testing for all patients at the NCD Clinic. The team also advised revising the schedule of the generic medicine counter and ensuring the availability of 80–90% of essential medicines.
