A high-level review meeting was held in Agartala under the chairmanship of Sanjay Jaju, Secretary of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER), to evaluate the progress of key development works in Tripura.
The session took place at the State Guest House and was attended by Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, along with senior officials from both the state and central governments.
The discussions centered on the implementation status of major infrastructure and tourism projects supported by MDoNER, along with other priority schemes aimed at strengthening regional development. Officials examined project timelines, identified delays and challenges, and discussed steps to speed up execution.
Special focus was placed on improving connectivity, promoting tourism growth, and ensuring the proper and timely use of central funds. The review underscored the Centre’s continued efforts to boost socio-economic development in Tripura and the broader Northeast region.
Participants emphasized the importance of close coordination between state and central agencies to ensure effective on-ground results. The meeting concluded with a commitment to fast-tracking ongoing projects and improving delivery systems so that development benefits can reach people more efficiently.
