Despite the Tripura government’s repeated claims of rapid progress under the so-called “Triple Engine Government,” the ground reality tells a very different story.

The East Chawmanu Satyaban Karbari Para under Longtharai Valley subdivision in Dhalai district stands as a glaring example of neglect and underdevelopment.

Local residents allege that even after more than seven decades of independence, their village remains deprived of basic infrastructure. Roads are still unpaved, drinking water is scarce, electricity supply is irregular, and healthcare facilities are nearly non-existent — forcing indigenous families to live under severe hardship.

While government leaders continue to boast about bringing waves of development across the state, villagers say such promises sound like “a cruel joke” in places like theirs.

“We have repeatedly brought our problems to the attention of the administration, but nothing ever changes,” a villager lamented.

Residents have appealed once again to the government to take note of their situation and bring genuine development to their remote hamlet — ensuring that the benefits of progress finally reach the forgotten corners of Tripura.
