Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Tinku Roy today took part in the “Chintan Shivir” held in Srinagar, which brought together Sports Ministers from States and Union Territories across India.

The event was conducted in the presence of Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya and focused on strengthening cooperation between the Centre and States to develop a strong, modern, and inclusive sports infrastructure in the country.

During the discussions, participants agreed on the need for coordinated efforts to boost sports facilities, improve training systems, and create better opportunities for young athletes.

Tinku Roy stated that both the Centre and States have resolved to work in close coordination to achieve long-term sports development goals. He added that these initiatives align with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make India a global sports powerhouse by 2047.

The conclave concluded with a joint commitment to strengthen India’s sports ecosystem through continued collaboration and policy support.
