Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today expressed his satisfaction over the Bharatiya Janata Party’s strong performance in the Bihar Assembly elections.

He conveyed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said he believes that with the BJP’s continued rise—particularly if the party secures victory in West Bengal—the “face of India will change in the coming days.”

Dr. Saha had campaigned for three BJP candidates in West Champaran, covering the Bagaha, Ramnagar (SC), and Narkatiaganj Assembly constituencies, as part of the Bihar poll campaign.

Reflecting on the early trends, the Chief Minister said, “I was in Champaran for campaigning in three Assembly seats, and BJP is leading in all three. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Everyone can see the direction in which things are heading. I want to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National President JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Nitish Kumar for their tireless efforts.”

He further commented on the possibility of Lalu Prasad Yadav returning to power, stating that the governance during his tenure has made such a scenario highly unlikely.
“Everyone knows what happened during Lalu Prasad’s tenure. People do not want a return to that period,” he said.

Looking ahead, Dr. Saha expressed confidence about the political climate in West Bengal.
“Next is West Bengal. BJP will also come to Bengal, and India’s future will change,” he added.
