Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr) Manik Saha on Monday directed the timely completion of all ongoing development projects in the state, setting March 2027 as the target deadline.

Chairing a review meeting at the State Secretariat, the Chief Minister stressed on periodic inspections to maintain quality and instructed officials to ensure that work does not get delayed due to workforce shortages. 

He also asked authorities to closely monitor newly constructed city footpaths to prevent re-encroachment.

The meeting reviewed progress on key projects, including:

  • Construction of a proposed flyover in Agartala

  • Road renovation and new drainage works in the city

  • The Unity Mall project

  • A 200-bed Mother and Child Care Centre at AGMC and GBP Hospitals

  • Infrastructure for the state’s Dental College

  • An Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Drug Addicts in Sepahijala

  • 50-bed drug de-addiction centres in every district

  • Nine PWD projects

  • Housing Board schemes

  • TUDA and Smart City Mission initiatives

Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha emphasized strict adherence to timelines and quality standards, noting that efficient execution will strengthen the state’s economy and pave the way for future projects.

The meeting was attended by senior officials, including PWD Secretary Kiran Gitte, Urban Development Secretary Abhishek Singh, Finance Secretary Apurba Roy, Tourism Secretary U.K. Chakma, Education Secretary Ravel Hemendra Kumar, Smart City Mission CEO Dr. Shailesh Kumar Yadav, and directors of various departments.
