Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha stated that the Tripura government is making full efforts to handle the damage caused by the recent Nor’wester and to support those affected.

The state experienced a powerful thunderstorm with heavy rain and strong winds, which led to significant damage across several areas.

Houses were affected, trees were uprooted, and infrastructure such as electric poles, wires, and transformers suffered damage.

The Chief Minister said that district magistrates have already begun taking necessary actions on the ground. He emphasized that the government is committed to providing all possible assistance to the affected residents.

At the same time, authorities have issued a red alert in parts of Tripura as severe weather conditions are expected to continue, with warnings of intense thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, and strong winds in the coming days.
