Tripura Police in Amatali have arrested a man identified as Aditya Das, a local content creator and mobile shop owner, in connection with a rape allegation involving a young woman from Dhalai district.
According to police reports, the accused came into contact with the woman through Facebook, where their acquaintance gradually developed into regular communication. He allegedly persuaded her to meet him by promising an expensive iPhone as a gift.
The survivor stated that she arrived in Agartala by train on Saturday morning for personal work. After she reached Badharghat Railway Station, the accused allegedly met her on a motorcycle.
