Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha convened a meeting on Saturday with candidates from the Bharatiya Janata Party who had contested the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections, aiming to review both the electoral process and the prevailing situation after the polls.
The meeting was attended by state BJP president and MP Rajib Bhattacharya, along with minister Santana Chakma. According to the Chief Minister, the discussions focused on gathering detailed feedback from candidates regarding the pre-election, polling day, and post-election phases.
Saha stated that party leaders had been grouped into clusters, with designated in-charges present at the meeting to provide structured reports. He emphasized that the objective was to identify challenges, assess any shortcomings, and understand the overall ground situation following the elections.
He further noted that law and order conditions have improved since the polls, with security personnel actively deployed and monitoring the situation continuously.
The TTAADC elections were conducted on April 12, with results announced on April 17. In the 28-member council, the Tipra Motha Party emerged as the dominant force by winning 24 seats, while the BJP managed to secure four seats.
