A wave of concern has gripped the Monupathar area under Manu in Tripura after a young woman and her four-year-old son reportedly went missing under mysterious circumstances.
The missing woman has been identified as Teji Debbarma (23), a resident of Kalapara under Manu Village. According to family sources, she left her parental home on Wednesday afternoon along with her young son to visit her husband’s house at Monaipathar. However, despite several hours passing, she never arrived at her destination.
As night fell and there was still no contact from her, worried family members launched a search operation, checking nearby localities, relatives’ homes, and other possible places. Their efforts, however, yielded no clue about the whereabouts of the mother and child.
Following the disappearance, the family lodged a missing complaint at the Bir Chandra Manu Monupathar Outpost. Adding to the mystery, Teji Debbarma’s mobile phone has reportedly remained switched off since she went missing.
The sudden disappearance of both mother and child in broad daylight has sparked fear and speculation among local residents. Police have started an investigation and alerted nearby police stations in an attempt to trace them as quickly as possible.
Authorities are yet to determine whether the woman left on her own or if any untoward incident may be involved. Meanwhile, both families continue to wait anxiously, hoping for the safe return of Teji Debbarma and her son.
