The Directorate of Information Technology (DIT), Government of Tripura, has launched a new initiative to ensure the timely and systematic updation of government department websites through its Weekly Review System (WRS) application.

The initiative aims to make government websites more citizen-friendly, transparent and responsive by streamlining the process of website update requests and ensuring that accurate and up-to-date information remains readily available to the public.

As part of the initiative, DIT organised a workshop on the Weekly Review System (WRS) on Monday at the Smart Training Centre, DIT, for concerned departmental Nodal Officers. The workshop was held under the chairmanship of Director IT Shri Jeya Ragul Geshan B.

The workshop focused on the effective functioning and regular monitoring of departmental websites, with particular emphasis on the use of the WRS application for timely content management and processing of website update requests.

Officials were briefed on the operational aspects of the system and the importance of maintaining updated information across government websites. The system is expected to facilitate faster communication between departments and the IT Directorate, thereby reducing delays in updating important public information.

The initiative is also aimed at strengthening digital governance and improving citizens’ access to government services, notifications, schemes and other essential information through official online platforms.

Through the Weekly Review System, the DIT seeks to establish a more systematic mechanism for monitoring website content and ensuring that government departments maintain their digital platforms regularly and efficiently.
