Election Duty Voting (EDV) for employees engaged in the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) Village Committee General Election-2026 began across 38 blocks in the state on Tuesday.
As per the election authorities, employees deployed for election duty who have submitted or are submitting applications in Form-15 to exercise their franchise through the EDV process can cast their votes at designated Voting Assistance Centres (Facilitation Centres) under their respective Returning Officers.
For the 38 blocks, EDV voting will be conducted on September 22 and 23, from 10 am to 4 pm at the designated Facilitation Centres.
However, a separate schedule has been fixed for six blocks—Karbook, Rupaichhari, Amarpur, Ampi, Matabari and Dumburnagar. In these blocks, Election Duty Voting will be held on September 23 and 24, from 10 am to 4 pm.
The election authorities have urged all eligible election-duty voters to visit the designated Facilitation Centres on the specified dates and within the prescribed hours to exercise their franchise.
The EDV arrangement has been made to facilitate voting by personnel engaged in election-related duties, ensuring that they can participate in the Village Committee election despite being deployed for official responsibilities on polling day.
