Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Mayor Dipak Majumder on Saturday assured that the ongoing beautification and development work around the Chalaman Sangha pond would be completed before Durga Puja.

Mayor Dipak Majumder, accompanied by councillor Ratna Dutta, visited the Chalaman Sangha pond on Saturday to inspect the progress of the ongoing development work. During the visit, they reviewed the status of the various works being carried out in the area.

The Mayor said that the work has progressed considerably and that steps are being taken to complete the remaining work at the earliest. He acknowledged that the ongoing renovation may cause temporary inconvenience to local residents but assured them that the work would be completed soon.

Majumder also interacted with local residents and members of the club during the visit and listened to their concerns.

He said that the AMC is committed to developing local areas in coordination with residents, while giving priority to civic convenience and beautification.
