The 10th session of the 13th Tripura Legislative Assembly is scheduled to begin on August 27. Ahead of the session, the Assembly Secretariat has imposed a set of security restrictions for entry into the Assembly premises.

According to a notification issued by the Assembly Secretariat, no person or vehicle will be allowed to enter the Assembly complex without a valid entry pass issued by the Secretariat.

Members of the Tripura Legislative Assembly, media personnel and employees of the Assembly Secretariat will be required to produce their identity cards or valid passes issued by the Secretariat if asked by security personnel at the entry gates.

Assembly members, accredited media personnel and Assembly employees will be permitted to enter the premises in vehicles or other modes of transport only with valid passes.

The notification further stated that visitors, government officials, journalists and Assembly employees will not be permitted to enter the Assembly premises carrying bags or any other objectionable items.

The restrictions have been introduced as part of enhanced security arrangements during the upcoming Assembly session.
