A one-year-old girl allegedly died after consuming a poisonous snail in Tripura's Mohanpur subdivision, triggering grief in the locality.

According to local sources, the tragic incident took place at Sidhai village. The child, identified as Eliza Debbarma, reportedly consumed a snail found near her house. Soon after, her health deteriorated rapidly.

Family members rushed the infant to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, doctors declared her dead upon arrival.
