With the upcoming ADC Village Committee elections approaching, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified its political preparations by holding a crucial Core Committee meeting at the party's central headquarters in New Delhi on Thursday.

According to party sources, the meeting focused on electoral strategy, organisational preparedness, and strengthening the party's presence in the tribal-dominated areas of Tripura. The deliberations reportedly continued for several hours.

The meeting was attended by Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma, BJP Tripura State President Abhishek Deb Roy, Member of Parliament Rajib Bhattacharjee, former MPs Rebati Tripura and Pratima Bhoumik, along with several senior leaders from the BJP's central and state leadership.

Party insiders said detailed discussions were held on strengthening booth-level organisation, finalising the election campaign strategy, expanding outreach in tribal areas, and ensuring active participation of party workers. The leaders also reviewed the prevailing political situation and assessed possible electoral scenarios ahead of the polls.

However, the most talked-about issue following the meeting has been the BJP's alliance strategy. Political circles are closely watching whether the BJP will contest the ADC Village Committee elections in alliance with its partners, Tipra Motha and the Indigenous People's Front of Tripura (IPFT), as it did in the Assembly elections, or adopt a different electoral approach. No official announcement was made on the matter after the meeting, further fuelling speculation over the future of the alliance.

Political observers believe that the ADC Village Committee elections are not merely about electing representatives to the rural administrative structure but also serve as a significant indicator of the future course of tribal politics and electoral dynamics in Tripura.

Attention is now focused on the BJP's upcoming organisational decisions and any formal announcement regarding its alliance strategy, which could significantly influence the political landscape of Tripura ahead of the ADC Village Committee elections.
