The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated strict organisational action against two members, including a former Member of District Council (MDC), for alleged violation of party discipline and involvement in anti-party activities.

According to a press statement issued by BJP Tripura Media In-charge Sunit Sarkar, the action was taken following the direction of State BJP President Abhishek Debroy.

Former MDC Padmalochan Tripura has been temporarily suspended from all party responsibilities and organisational activities over allegations of continued anti-party activities despite repeated warnings. He has also been accused of making statements on social media that were against party discipline and allegedly affected the party’s image.

In a separate case, Debashish Saha, popularly known as “Boro Kanai”, a member of Booth No. 16 under the 8-Town Bordowali Mandal, has been expelled from the BJP’s primary membership for his alleged involvement in anti-party activities.

Reaffirming its commitment to organisational discipline and party ideology, the BJP stated that no individual or position is above the organisation. The party warned that strict action would continue against anyone found violating party principles and discipline in the future.
