Amid ongoing economic uncertainty across the country and a challenging global environment, the Central Government has announced a major राहत for citizens by reducing excise duty on fuel by Rs 10.

The move is expected to ease the financial burden on millions of households and sectors dependent on transportation.

Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for what he described as a “timely and sensitive decision in the interest of the public.”

In a statement shared on social media today, the Chief Minister said that the reduction in fuel prices would significantly benefit common people, particularly middle-class families and those engaged in transport-related professions. He also noted that lower fuel costs could have a positive ripple effect on the prices of essential commodities, bringing further relief to consumers.

Dr. Saha emphasized that the decision reflects the Centre’s continued commitment to prioritizing public welfare, even in difficult times. “This step once again demonstrates Prime Minister Modi’s dedication to the well-being of citizens,” he said.

On behalf of the people of Tripura and the entire Northeast region, the Chief Minister conveyed deep appreciation for the pro-people initiative taken by the Central Government.
