As winter approaches and cannabis plants reach full maturity, the Jatrapur Police Station has once again achieved remarkable success in its anti-narcotics mission. On Tuesday morning, an extensive cannabis destruction operation was conducted in the Nidaya Tindhepa area under the initiative of Jatrapur Police Station.
The operation was led by Officer-in-Charge Siti Kanta Bardhan, Sub-Inspector Pritam Dutta, along with other police personnel and TSR*(Tripura State Rifles) members.
According to reports, over 5,000 cannabis plants spread across five to six plots were destroyed during the raid.
Speaking exclusively, Sub-Inspector Pritam Dutta stated that such anti-drug operations will continue in the coming days, reaffirming the police’s commitment to building a drug-free Tripura.
This marks the ninth major operation by Jatrapur Police against illegal narcotics cultivation. Their continued success has brought a sense of relief and satisfaction to local residents — while drug traffickers, on the other hand, find their activities increasingly disrupted.
With consistent achievements, Jatrapur Police has become a shining example in Tripura’s statewide campaign against drugs, setting a strong precedent for others to follow.
