Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath today said that regional political parties don’t last long as they don’t work for development, but BJP is the only party that works for the real development and progress of Janajati people.

The Minister said this while addressing a courtyard meeting in the Chakmapara area of booth number 20 of the Bodhjungnagar-Wakhinagar constituency for the TTAADC election.

The Minister said that Congress was formed 141 years ago and has 2.5 crore members. The Communist Party of China was established 105 years ago and has 9.8 crore members, while BJP was established 46 years ago and has 14 crore members. No political party has such huge membership.

“BJP now has 240 MPs and 293 including NDA in the Lok Sabha, and in the Rajya Sabha BJP has 106 MPs and 141 including NDA. In the country, there are 4126 MLAs, while BJP has only 1450 MLAs, and with NDA the number is 2315 MLAs. In majority states, BJP is running the government, including in Goa, Assam, Rajasthan, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Manipur, etc. Why do people cast votes for BJP? People from every section cast votes for BJP because the party’s slogan is Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,” he said.

The Minister informed that in Wakhinagar, out of 763 families, 418 houses were provided in the last 7.5 years; 453 families received free rice; 362 received social pension, and the social pension has also been increased.

“Why don’t Janajati people support regional parties? Because they don’t last long. They don’t focus on development. BJP has given due respect to Janajati. In the last 7.5 years, due to the BJP government, 11 persons have received the Padma Shri, and among them, 9 are Janajati. This has all been made possible due to PM Modi. Earlier, even when there was a government, why was the statue of the Maharaja not installed? Why was the airport not renamed after Maharaja Bir Bikram? BJP has declared a holiday on the birth anniversary of Maharaja Bir Bikram. This government is working for the welfare of Janajati people. A series of projects are underway in Janajati areas. The then CPIM and Congress, who also ruled the state, deprived the Janajati,” he said.
