Tripura Animal Resources Development (ARD) Minister Sudhangshu Das on Friday met the Chairman of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) at its campus in Anand, Gujarat, to explore initiatives aimed at strengthening the state’s dairy sector.
The minister was accompanied by ARD Secretary Deepa D. Nair, Director Niraj Kumar Chanchal, and senior officials from NDDB during the meeting.
The discussions focused on increasing milk production, promoting sustainable dairy practices, enhancing nutritional security, and creating improved livelihood opportunities for dairy farmers across Tripura.
Following the meeting, Minister Das described the discussions as productive and expressed confidence in developing a strong partnership between the ARD Department and NDDB.
“I look forward to a significant and strong partnership between the ARD Department and NDDB to further strengthen Tripura's dairy industry,” Das said.
The proposed collaboration is expected to support the modernization of dairy infrastructure, improve productivity, and provide farmers with technical assistance and sustainable development solutions. The initiative aims to accelerate growth in Tripura’s dairy sector and strengthen the rural economy through long-term development.
