Concerted effort key to building ‘Ek Tripura, Srestha Tripura: CM

Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha today said that with the concerted efforts of everyone, the vision of 'Ek Tripura, Shrestha Tripura' would be achieved.

“Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, work is underway to take Tripura forward. This time, our new minister Kishor Barman will also be a part in this process,” he said.

The Chief Minister said this after participating in the swearing-in ceremony of MLA Kishor Barman as a minister at the Raj Bhavan in Agartala today.

Today, Kishor Barman, a BJP MLA from Nalchar Assembly Constituency, took oath as a member of the state cabinet and minister. Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu administered the oath of office and secrecy at the Durbar Hall.

Meanwhile, welcoming Kishor Barman to the state cabinet, the Chief Minister said that Tripura now has 12 ministers, including one Minister of State.

“We welcome Kishor Barman, who took oath as the new minister today. Just as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is running the country and the cabinet, we are also working for the government in the state. I hope that Minister Kishor Barman will also work to take Tripura further forward,” said Dr. Saha.

The Chief Minister also said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is a disciplined party and all work in this party is carried out in a disciplined manner.

Rajya Sabha MP and Bharatiya Janata Party State President Rajib Bhattacharya, Finance Minister Pranajit Singh Roy, Tourism and Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma, Social Welfare Minister Tinku Roy, ARDD Minister Sudhangshu Das, Tribal Welfare Minister Bikas Debbarma, Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, Director General of Police Anurag, along with other public representatives and high officials, were present.
