Tiprasa Accord implementation underway, in regular contact with Tipra Motha chief: Tripura CM

Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday said that the implementation process of the Tiprasa Accord is underway and assured that he is in regular contact with Tipra Motha Party founder Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma.

His remarks came in response to Tipra Motha MLA Ranjit Debbarma’s recent statement, accusing both the state and central governments of inaction regarding the Accord’s implementation.

Reacting to the MLA’s threat of withdrawing support from the BJP-led government, Dr. Saha termed it an internal matter of the Tipra Motha Party.

"I don’t think I should comment on that. I haven’t received anything officially in writing. I am in touch with Pradyot Manikya, and I can say that the process of implementing the Tiprasa Accord is ongoing," the Chief Minister added.
