Tripura gears up for Har Ghar Tiranga 2025 celebrations

The nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga program, launched in 2022 under the visionary call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has once again set the stage for a grand patriotic celebration this year. 

Aimed at strengthening the spirit of nationalism and paying homage to the martyrs of India’s freedom struggle, the program will be observed in three phases from August 2 to August 15 across the country, including Tripura.

This year’s celebration promises to be bigger and more inclusive, encouraging participation from every section of society.

As per a press release in Phase I from August 2–8, the first phase will witness a range of activities designed to instill patriotism, especially among the youth. School students, youth clubs, and citizens are participating in events such as Tricolor exhibitions, Tricolor-themed Rangoli competitions, Rakhi-making workshops using the national colors, Letter-writing campaigns for Indian Army and Police personnel, Tricolor lighting decorations, School wall paintings with patriotic themes, Quiz contests focusing on India's freedom struggle.

In the second phase from August 9–12 will bring communities together in a festive and dynamic celebration titled Tiranga Mahotsav. Major events include Tiranga Mela (Fair), Tiranga Concerts featuring patriotic songs, Tiranga Bike and Bicycle Rallies, Tiranga Yatras to spread the message of unity.

Additionally, Har Ghar Tiranga Selfie Booths will be set up at prominent locations where people can click selfies with the national flag and upload them to the official portal www.harghartiranga.com.

In the final phase from August 13–15 will culminate with the grand Har Ghar Tiranga movement from August 13 to 15, where citizens will hoist the national flag at their homes and institutions. This period will also witness a week-long cleanliness and sanitation campaign under the Swachh Bharat initiative from August 8 to 15, symbolizing respect and tribute to the nation.

Officials have urged people to actively take part in the program and show their devotion towards the country through visible acts of unity, respect for the flag, and community service.
