Bangladesh High Commissioner to India, M. Riaz Hamidullah, arrived in Agartala on Wednesday to take part in the Destination Tripura Business Conclave-2026, a two-day international business event scheduled to be held on July 9 and 10. He will attend the conclave as a special guest.
Speaking to the media after his arrival, Hamidullah expressed optimism about the future of economic relations between India and Bangladesh. He stated that bilateral trade remains stable and is expected to continue growing.
“I am here and I will continue to engage. Trade relations between India and Bangladesh are in a positive position and will remain strong,” he said.
The High Commissioner travelled to Agartala from New Delhi by train and was welcomed at the railway station by Hasan Al Bashar Abul Ulayee.
The Destination Tripura Business Conclave-2026 will feature participation from government officials, diplomats, business leaders, and industry representatives. The event aims to promote investment opportunities, enhance regional connectivity, and strengthen economic cooperation between India and Bangladesh.
