The Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed it's MLA Abhishek Debroy as the new President of the party’s Tripura state unit.
The appointment was announced by Arun Singh, National General Secretary and Headquarters In-charge of the BJP, through an official organizational notification issued on May 28, 2026.
According to the statement, the appointment was approved by BJP National President Nitin Nabin and has come into effect immediately.
Abhishek Debroy, who is currently serving as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), is expected to play a key role in strengthening the party organization in Tripura ahead of upcoming political activities in the state.
