Questions have been raised over the punctuality of staff at the Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) office after many employees reportedly failed to report for duty on time on Tuesday, causing inconvenience to members of the public.

As per government guidelines, employees are required to be present in their offices by 9:30 AM. However, visitors to the SDM office alleged that a significant number of staff members were absent even after 10:00 AM, despite the office reopening following a series of holidays.

The delay reportedly affected the delivery of public services, with numerous people forced to wait for extended periods to complete official work. Residents expressed concern that such irregular attendance hampers administrative efficiency and creates unnecessary hardship for citizens.

The incident has sparked criticism from locals, who have urged the authorities to look into the matter and take corrective measures to ensure timely attendance and uninterrupted public service in government offices.
