The Directorate of Information Technology, Government of Tripura has stepped up preparations for the upcoming Destination Tripura: Business Conclave 2026, scheduled to be held on July 9–10 at the International Fair Ground, Hapania in Agartala.

A high-level review meeting was held at IT Bhavan in Agartala, chaired by Jeya Ragul Geshan B., along with senior officials, consultants, and other stakeholders. The meeting focused on reviewing the status of preparations and strengthening coordination to ensure the successful setup of a dedicated IT Pavilion at the event.

The two-day conclave is intended to highlight Tripura as an emerging investment destination, with the state government targeting potential investments of around ₹1 lakh crore. The event is expected to be inaugurated in the presence of Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Jyotiraditya Scindia.

More than 20 exhibition stalls will be set up by various departments and Central Public Sector Undertakings, showcasing development initiatives and investment opportunities under a unified theme. The event is expected to host around 500 delegates from India and abroad.

International participation has also been invited, with embassies, high commissions, and global consultants from countries such as Bangladesh, the Philippines, Kazakhstan, Maldives, Nepal, and Uzbekistan confirming attendance. Representatives from Russia and Indonesia have also expressed interest in joining the conclave.

Officials expect the conclave to strengthen investment inflows and international collaboration, positioning Tripura as a growing gateway for economic development in the Northeast region.
