Along with the rest of the country, the holy festival of Eid-ul-Adha, also known as Bakrid, was celebrated across the state today with great religious devotion and enthusiasm. Eid-ul-Adha is considered one of the major festivals of the Muslim community.
On the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, special Eid prayers were offered at various mosques across the state. In the capital city, Eid prayers were held at the historic Gedu Miah Mosque at 8:30 AM.
The Eid congregation at Gedu Miah Mosque was led by Maulana Abdul Rahman. After the prayers, people exchanged Eid greetings and embraced one another, spreading the message of peace, unity, and brotherhood.
Speaking on the occasion, Maulana Abdul Rahman said that Eid-ul-Adha is a festival of sacrifice and devotion. He highlighted the significance of Qurbani (sacrifice) and urged people to uphold the values of compassion, faith, and humanity associated with the festival.
