According to reports, the fire broke out at the house of Reang and quickly spread, raising concerns of further damage in the densely located residential area. Personnel from the Jeolcherra Camp of the Tripura State Rifles responded immediately upon noticing the incident.
The TSR team rushed to the spot without delay and managed to bring the fire under control before the arrival of Fire Service personnel. Their prompt and coordinated action successfully prevented the flames from spreading to adjacent structures.
Due to the timely intervention, two nearby houses and a local school, which were at significant risk of catching fire, were saved from damage. However, the house of Shri Ramesh Reang was completely gutted in the blaze, resulting in substantial property loss.
Authorities are expected to assess the cause of the fire and evaluate the extent of the damage. No casualties have been reported so far.
