After taking charge as the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Tripura Central University, Dr. Debabrata Das has outlined his vision to strengthen the institution with a focus on academic excellence, quality research, and improving students’ skills and employability.

Dr. Das said his immediate priorities would include enhancing the academic standards of the university, promoting research activities, and creating better career opportunities for students. He expressed his ambition to increase the national recognition and visibility of Tripura University and establish it among the leading universities in the country.

After assuming office, the new Vice Chancellor acknowledged the contributions of former Vice Chancellors, university authorities, faculty members, officers, students, and other stakeholders who have played a significant role in the growth and development of the institution.

Dr. Das appreciated the efforts of various bodies, including the Executive Council, Court, Finance Committee, and Academic Council, for their continued support in strengthening the university.

Highlighting the strong bond between the university and society, he said that Tripura University carries the hopes and aspirations of the people of the state. He emphasised that the institution has a responsibility to contribute to society by improving educational standards, expanding research opportunities, and supporting students in their professional growth.

The Vice Chancellor called for collective support from faculty members, students, staff, and all stakeholders to help take the university forward. He expressed confidence that with joint efforts, Tripura University can achieve greater academic and research milestones and emerge as a prominent institution at the national level.
