The ‘Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026’ is set to take place on July 9–10, with participation expected from around 500 investors, according to Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha.
The Chief Minister made the announcement after reviewing preparations at the International Fair Ground in Hapania, Agartala, where the two-day event will be hosted. He also confirmed that Union DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia is likely to attend the programme.
Dr. Saha said the state is preparing for a much larger edition of the conclave this year, shifting from earlier smaller-scale events held in hotels to a full-fledged venue designed to accommodate wider participation. Investors from different parts of India and abroad are expected to join the discussions.
The state government has set an ambitious investment target of around ₹1 lakh crore, with various departments presenting proposals and detailing potential investment inflows. Officials indicated that more investment commitments are still in the pipeline.
Senior administrative and police officials, including the DGP, Chief Secretary, and departmental secretaries, were present at the review meeting. The Chief Minister noted that such conclaves are expected to strengthen infrastructure development, generate employment opportunities, and contribute to the state’s GSDP growth.
He also pointed out that earlier agreements worth about ₹30,000 crore were signed in previous summits, of which ₹8,000 crore has already been implemented on the ground. He added that improved law and order has played a key role in increasing investor confidence in the state.
