Elections to the Tripura Bar Association, one of the oldest and most prestigious bodies of lawyers in the state with a legacy spanning nearly 125 years, commenced at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.

The election process created a festive atmosphere across the court premises from the early hours of the day. Lawyers participated enthusiastically, exercising their democratic right to elect the association’s new leadership.

A large turnout of voters was witnessed at the polling centre throughout the morning. Voting was conducted peacefully and in an orderly manner, reflecting the strong democratic traditions of the legal fraternity.

According to Election Commission sources, polling will continue until 1:00 p.m. Following the conclusion of voting, the counting of ballots will begin immediately. The official results will be announced after the completion of the counting process.

The court premises remained vibrant with excitement as supporters of various candidates and members of the legal community gathered to witness the electoral process. This year's election has generated considerable interest among lawyers, with all eyes now on the vote count and the declaration of results.
