Ahead of the NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination, the West Tripura administration has intensified preparations to ensure the examination is conducted smoothly, securely, and transparently.
A high-level review meeting was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Tripura Chief Secretary JK Sinha. The meeting brought together senior officials from the Higher Education Department, State and District Level Coordination Committees, Tripura Police, the National Informatics Centre (NIC), and other concerned agencies.
Representing West Tripura, District Magistrate and Collector Dr. Vishal Kumar and Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak participated in the discussions, which focused on strengthening examination arrangements across the district.
Key issues reviewed included the secure handling and transportation of confidential examination materials, deployment of manpower, logistical planning, security management at examination centres, and coordination among various departments. Officials also discussed measures to ensure strict adherence to guidelines issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Dr. Vishal Kumar stated that the district administration is fully committed to providing candidates with a safe, fair, and well-organized examination environment. He emphasized the need for close cooperation among all stakeholders to ensure the successful conduct of the re-test.
SP Namit Pathak assured that the police department would extend full support by implementing comprehensive security measures and maintaining a peaceful atmosphere at all examination venues.
