Tripura Yuva Morcha appeals to CM for Paralysed former worker’s treatment

All members of the Yuva Morcha under Padmabil Gram Panchayat in the Khowai Ramchandraghat Mandal of Khowai District have come forward with an emotional appeal to Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, seeking urgent medical assistance for Kamal Deb, a former Yuva Morcha worker who has been paralyzed for several years due to a severe nervous condition.

Kamal Deb, 37, the only son of the late Nripendra Deb and a resident of Ward No. 1, was once the sole breadwinner of his family. His prolonged illness has plunged the family into deep crisis, with no other earning member to support them. His mother, Sumati Deb—an elderly woman surviving on a meager old-age pension—is struggling between feeding the family and seeking medical care for her ailing son.

Witnessing the dire condition the family, local Yuva Morcha workers and residents of the area are doing their best to provide assistance.

However, the burden is becoming too heavy for them to carry alone.

They have collectively appealed to Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, urging the government to intervene and facilitate Kamal Deb’s treatment.

In addition, they have called upon Yuva Morcha State President and Minister Sushanta Chowdhury to extend his help in this humanitarian crisis.

On Monday afternoon, Yuva Morcha members handed over packets of nutritious food to Kamal Deb's mother as a small gesture of solidarity.
