Passengers traveling on the Dharmanagar–Agartala local train route have raised serious concerns over the growing congestion and disorder in reserved coaches. According to daily commuters, overcrowding has become a regular occurrence, with general ticket holders reportedly entering reserved compartments without authorization.

The situation has led to mounting frustration among passengers holding valid reserved tickets. Many allege that unauthorized travelers not only occupy reserved seats but also refuse to vacate them when requested. In several instances, commuters claim that such individuals have allegedly invoked political connections or personal influence to intimidate rightful seat holders.

As a result, passengers report an increasingly hostile and uncomfortable environment inside reserved coaches, with disputes and confrontations becoming frequent. Vulnerable passengers say they often face harassment when attempting to assert their seating rights.

Commuters further allege a lack of effective enforcement from railway authorities, including ticket checkers and railway police (GRP/RPF). The absence of regular monitoring, they say, has allowed the situation to worsen over time.

Passengers are now urging railway authorities to take immediate action to prevent unauthorized entry into reserved coaches, ensure strict ticket verification, and guarantee a safe and hassle-free journey for legitimate reserved ticket holders on the Dharmanagar–Agartala route.
